The Kinney Remodel

About the Kinnney Project

The Kinney project was a major remodel, it included the living, kitchen, dinning & garage. I opening up the space between the living, dinning and kitchen by removing the old laundry/office. There had to be new beams put into the attic to handle the load of the roof and the ceiling so that the space could be completely opened up. I had a steel I-beam installed between living and kitchen/dining area so that we could lose the intrusive wood beam that was originally there. We removed all of the old rock work to give a cleaner more updated look, that also helped to open up the space. I transformed the garage into the new office, laundry and pantry. The floors are walnut look tile. The range is a 60" gas wolf with a custom walnut range hood that houses a two fan insert. The sink is a 40" fireclay two basin sink from signature hardware. All of the base cabinets have pullout drawers. The island has a trash can drawer, trash bag drawer & a cookie sheet drawer. The island drawers are fully exposed 30" drawers. We did a natural slate backsplash. The cabinets also included a hide-a-way coffee drawer.
